Welcome to the realm of the rogue theologian. I call myself a theologian because I study and speak about God. Theology is the study of God. I call myself a rogue because I do this with a fierce sence of independence and a delight in bending or breaking the 'rules'. I have a deep faith in a God who cannot be bound by any Church. I believe in a God who, when we have said all we can about, remains a mystery of love.
In this blog I try to share with you my attempts to enter that mystery by engaging with scripture and thinking theologically about everyday life. If you like it-- leave a comment, If you hate it-- leave a comment. If you have a story to share-- share it in a comment. We are all in this life together. Whoever told you it is impolite to talk about politics and religion is full of it. It may be impolite to try and change somebody's mind about it, but sharing our stories of faith is what we are called to do -that we may build one another up in faith.
